In addition to the Congress programme and in recognition of the impact that coronavirus continues to have on the work of the respiratory community, a day’s worth of free online sessions dedicated to SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 will be accessible to all before the main event.
The programme consists of live presentations which discuss the disease, from basic science to the post-care of COVID-19 patients, and has been created to ensure that respiratory healthcare professionals have access to some of the latest data available.
Tobias Welte is ERS Past President and keynote speaker for the COVID-19 live programme
“Over these past few months, we have all been affected by periods of isolation and uncertainty, sacrifice and even loss. However, what we have also seen is the remarkable resilience and tireless efforts of healthcare workers and scientists internationally, who have come together in the face of such challenges to save lives, and provided us all with the hope that this crisis will soon be over. That is why we are pleased to be able to offer a free programme dedicated to the latest data on COVID-19 and accessible to all ahead of this year’s ERS International Congress.”
